Once it's destroyed, Balaadur comes out, but he doesn't autoengage, so you might want to get your mana below 25% to sacrifice more mages with 6 ( Arcane Siphon) for good measure, to top your mana back to 100% before pulling. Once you click it, you'll have a raybeam in front of you, just aim it at nearby mobs to kill them, then focus it on the center of big lightning covered structure. Hopefully I'll be able to finish the scenario with only sacrificing 4 Moon Guards.Ĭomment by AaaheadFor Balaadur, the boss in the big lightning covered structure, you need to first open the portal at 43.7, 50.9 and sacrifice enough moon guards, then you'll get your 3 ability, Fury of the Cosmos.
It's still not done but I'll post the outcome here as a reply to my post, the portal is currently at 47% while I'm typing all this up. Yes it was tedious, unecessary, and completely pointless since in the end the outcome would be the same regardless but I really wanted to do it for the fun of it. Here's a gif of me sitting patiently while my Moon Guards slowly whittle away at the portal. And were attacking it, as well as damaging it! Meanwhile all the demons continously kept attacking me and didn't go off to kill my moon guard. I also saw that my Moon Guard troops that were with me, had aggroed onto the portal. Now when I got to the Nihilam portal I saw that it was immune to my auto attacks and realized It wanted me to siphon my moon guard to get them. It was hard as heck but I did manage to get all the way to the Nihilam Portal with just the initial 4 Siphoned moon guard soldiers and 1 ability (Lots of kiting and running around and using Red & Jarod as bait/tanks for me to open the Moon Guard portals & dying occurred!). That's not to say he didn't intentionally play a significant role in thwarting the demons though for all his carelessness he was always against them. I'd check but the books are thick ) the point is, Illidan was more concerned with personal glory (and impressing Tyrande) than saving the world. This might have been what triggered Illidan to head to the palace, as evidently his great destiny (implied by his golden eyes) wasn't to lead the Moon Guard in battle. Either way, eventually Rhonin was tasked with leading them instead as he could manage that job much more responsibly. Illidan was indeed taxing the Moon Guard magi in battles by demanding too much of them, but I don't recall reading that he actually killed any of them in the process. The War of the Ancients Illidan was mildly obsessed with glory (and Tyrande) and certainly wasn't making these "grim but necessary" decisions - which for that matter, a commander of Ravencrest's caliber should have understood and condoned.
